Ahmed Elkahlawy
Ahmed Elkahlawy is a professional wildlife photographer and project photographer with more than 14 years of experience in photography. He currently works in project photography for a construction company in the Gulf region.

Although his passion extends across various genres—including landscape, cityscape, portrait, street, macro, architectural, and still-life photography—wildlife and nature photography remain closest to his heart, with a particular focus on birds, animals, and documenting wildlife in its natural habitat.

Ahmed believes that light is the soul of an image and one of the most important elements behind a successful photograph. He pays close attention to light, timing, composition, and the smallest details that can capture the viewer’s eye and transform a photograph from a simple record of a moment into a visual story.

Throughout his fieldwork, Ahmed has photographed and documented a wide range of bird species found across the Egyptian and Saudi environments. His passion for wildlife photography has also taken him to several remarkable destinations, including Kenya, where he experienced the unique challenge and beauty of photographing wildlife in the renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve.

His work has received recognition through numerous local and international photography competitions, and his photographs have been featured by National Geographic Middle East as well as National Geographic Your Shot worldwide. He is also a founding member of the Egyptian Association of Wildlife Photographers.

For Ahmed, wildlife photography is more than capturing a beautiful image. It is a journey of exploration, patience, and adventure—a pursuit of those rare moments in nature where light, behavior, and emotion come together to tell a story through a single frame.

His journey continues, driven by an endless curiosity to discover new places, seek extraordinary moments, and capture stories in the wild that have yet to be told.
